Trust Wallet Fails to Support PancakeSwap Chain ID

A recent report by CoinDesk suggests that the PancakeSwap chain’s identifier – a 128-bit number – is not supported by the wallet software developed by Wallet.com. The report cites an email sent by a user of the Wallet.com wallet to the company’s customer support team, in which the user says that their wallet does not support the identifier.

The PancakeSwap chain is based on the ERC20 token standard, and uses a unique identifier to identify each unit of its currency. The identifier is created by randomly selecting two numbers from a range of 1 to 10 million.

CoinDesk reached out to Wallet.com for comment, but did not receive a response in time for publication.

According to the report, the problem may be due to a bug in the Wallet.com wallet software. The company is reportedly working on a fix.

PancakeSwap CEO Vinny Lingham said that the company is “disappointed” that Wallet.com’s wallet does not support the identifier.

“We were hoping to see more widespread adoption of our platform with a well-designed and popular wallet like Wallet.com,” Lingham said in a statement. “We are disappointed that this issue has prevented some people from using our platform and look forward to working with them to get the wallet fixed.”

Lingham added that PancakeSwap plans to release a new version of its wallet software later this year that will support the identifier.
